Suicide

 

If a Suicide Threat Occurs:

• Consider any student reference to suicide as serious.

• Do not leave student alone.

• Notify the school’s counselor, social worker, nurse or administrator immediately.

• Stay with suicidal student until appropriate suicide intervention staff arrives.

• If necessary, implement the appropriate medical emergency procedures.
