Severe Weather

 

When Notified of a Severe Weather or Tornado Warning:

• Close blinds and drapes if it is safe to do so. Stay away from windows, mirrors, glass and unsecured filing cabinets.

• If the school administrator advises to go to the sheltering areas, go immediately in a calm, orderly fashion to your designated sheltering area.

• Stay with the students keeping them in a group.

• Take your student roster with you and account for all students once you have reached the designated area. Immediately notify the school administrator.

• Do not return to your classroom until directed by the school administrator.
