| I.D. Badge Expectations | | All Saint Paul School employees are required to have a school identification badge (ID). Wearing your school ID is a small, but important part of building security. In a culture where all employees display their ID, the intruder who does not have one clearly sticks out.
If we are lackadaisical, and adopt an attitude that "I’m the exception", "it’s too much bother," or "it doesn’t matter," we make it much easier for an intruder to conduct their business undetected and unquestioned. Intruders normally "case" their targets ahead of time. They will know if staff does not wear ID and this lessens their chances of being detected. By not wearing our IDs we put our students and other staff at risk. Please support building security by wearing your school ID.
We ask all of our visitors, parents, brothers and sisters, even other District personnel who are not part of a buildings staff, to support District security by properly signing in and wearing a visitor ID (if you do not have visitor badges at your building District Security will gladly supply some) or your district ID. We ask our vendors and contractors to wear picture ID. If you do business with the District on a regular or long term basis you can arrange for a District ID.
