| Homeland Security | | There is a great deal of information in the media these days about the
threat of possible terrorist attacks on our country. A significant part
of the Federal government's effort to keep the citizens of the United
States informed and vigilant was the creation of the Homeland Security
Advisory System. The "Threat Level" was created as a guide to aid all
segments of our nation in increasing awareness and informing the public
of possible threats to our communities. Below are some links to
websites with information on Homeland Security. Please check them out.
BEING PREPARED: Being
prepared- working in unison, and being informed are our best defenses
against the threat of unknown events/ Some specific steps to prepare
response and security functions to correspond with changes in the
threat levels are:
-Increase surveillance at areas that are considered sensitive or critical locations. -Keeping employees informed of the threat level and other important information. -Encouraging
all district employees and citizens to be vigilant and aware of their
surroundings and report suspicious activities of unusual circumstances
to the Office of Safety and Security (651-767-8370) or the Saint Paul
Police Department (number 651-291-1111). -If you know of a threat to
a fellow student, teacher or school facility, contact the Office of
Safety and Security (651-767-8370) or the School Administrator.
